Dr. Laura Stewart Dominici is a surgeon at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH), Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital and Dana-Farber Brigham Cancer Center. She serves as associate chief of surgery and section chief of breast surgery at Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital and is an associate professor of surgery at Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Dominici received her medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine. She then completed a general surgery residency at Lahey Clinic Medical Center (now Lahey Hospital and Medical Center) and a breast surgical oncology fellowship at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. She is board certified in general surgery.
Dr. Dominici’s clinical interests include patient-reported outcomes, nipple-sparing mastectomy, breast conservation surgery, aesthetic flat closure, mastectomy with immediate reconstruction, neoadjuvant therapy and sentinel lymph node biopsy. The author of over 50 peer-reviewed publications, she actively researches both systemic and local therapy treatments of breast cancer with a specific focus on patient-reported outcomes.
