Dr. Neil D. Ghushe is the medical director at Brigham and Women's Center for metabolic and bariatric surgery at South Shore Hospital. In addition, he is an instructor at Harvard Medical School and a member of Brigham and Women’s Surgical Associates at South Shore Hospital.
Dr. Ghushe received his medical degree at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry and completed his surgery residency at the University of Rochester/Strong Memorial Hospital. Dr. Ghushe completed his minimally invasive surgery fellowship at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and his surgical critical care fellowship at the University of Rochester/Strong Memorial Hospital. He is board certified in general surgery as well as surgical critical care.
Dr. Ghushe has clinical interests in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery, critical care in surgery, gallstone disease, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), gastrointestinal disease and surgery, general surgery, hernia repair, and splenectomy.
