Dr. Pardon R. Kenney is a general surgeon and was Chief of Surgery at Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital from 1989 to 2019.
Prior to that, he served as associate director of the surgical residency program at Brown Medical School and director of the trauma service at Rhode Island Hospital. He joined the surgical faculty in the Department of Surgery at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in 1998. He received his medical degree from Brown University School of Medicine in 1975 and completed his surgical residency at Rhode Island Hospital in 1980.
Dr. Kenney is board certified in general surgery (recertified in 1990, 1999, and 2010). His clinical interests include biliary tract disease and general surgery. A committed teacher, he has won numerous teaching awards from each of the four residency programs with which he has been affiliated, along with many medical student teaching awards.
