Dr. Carolyn M. D’Ambrosio is a physician at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. She is also a member of the faculty of medicine and the director of the Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine fellowship at Harvard Medical School.
She received her medical degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine. She then completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Rochester Strong Memorial Hospital , followed by a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care at Yale-New Haven Hospital. She is board certified in critical care medicine, internal medicine, pulmonary disease and sleep medicine.
Dr. D’Ambrosio’s clinical interests include acute respiratory distress syndrome, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, emphysema, sepsis and sleep-related breathing disorders. Her recent clinical research aims to understand the mechanism of and factors that exacerbate nocturnal asthma to develop better ways to manage the condition. She has authored over 10 peer-reviewed publications and has received funding from the National Institutes of Health.
