Dr. Spyropoulos is an Attending neonatologist in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU)and an Instructor in Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Spyropoulos performs basic and translational research in hemodynamics and cardiac metabolism as relates to cardiopulmonary diseases of prematurity. His research focuses on elucidating the mechanisms of cardiac metabolic dysregulation in heart failure and identifying novel therapies for prevention and treatment of this devastating disease.
