Dr. Christina Minami is a surgeon in the Division of Breast Surgery at Brigham and Women's Hospital. Dr. Minami is a graduate of Harvard University and received her medical degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. She also holds an MS in Health Services and Outcomes Research from Northwestern University and an MFA from the University of Iowa Writers' Workshop.
Dr. Minami completed residency training in General Surgery at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine followed by a fellowship in Breast Surgery at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. She is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. Her clinical interests include breast cancer treatment in the elderly, breast conservation and extent of axillary surgery. Her research interests include health services and outcomes research in the arena of geriatric breast oncology, patient-centered decision-making and cancer quality measures.
