Dr. Kavitha Ranganathan is a staff surgeon in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the Director of Craniofacial Reconstruction. She specializes in craniofacial surgery and general reconstructive plastic surgery.  Dr. Ranganathan is passionate about craniofacial reconstruction for: cancer, trauma, adult congenital anomalies, burn reconstruction, and transgender surgery.  Dr. Ranganathan’s personalized, patient-centered approach to care focuses on helping patients achieve their personal goals and approach their lives in the best way possible moving forward.  She actively collaborates with providers from multiple disciplines throughout the hospital to achieve the best possible outcomes for her patients. 

Her research focuses on increasing access to care in resource-limited environments and addressing the burden of catastrophic expenditures in low- and middle-income countries.
