Dr. Mierau is in the Department of Neurology and Division of Cognitive and Behavioral Neurology. Dr. Mierau's subspecialty training is in the care of adults and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and related neurodevelopmental disorders. At the BWH, Dr. Mierau's clinical practice focuses on adults with cognitive disorders. Dr. Mierau leads a research group investigating the neurobiology and cellular mechanisms underlying cognitive dysfunction in neurodevelopmental disorders including ASD and Rett syndrome.
