A graduate of the Boston University School of Medicine, Dr. Ackerman shares her expertise with students as an instructor at Harvard Medical School. She was selected by her students as an “Outstanding Teacher of Obstetrics and Gynecology” from 2001-2004.
She began her education at Radcliffe College, Harvard University, graduating with honors with a degree in sociology. After taking post-baccalaureate coursework at Harvard, she attended medical school, graduating cum laude while working as a counselor at an emergency shelter for teenagers.
Dr. Ackerman was a resident at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. After completing her residency, she took a position at Martha Eliot Health Center as a staff physician and at Commonwealth OB-GYN, where she specializes in wellness, obstetrics, and gynecology.
