Dr Salama is a graduate of Cairo University School of Medicine and has been an internal medicine primary care physician since September 2018. He joined Fenway Health after graduation during which he became an AAHIV certified specialist with extensive experience in international medicine and LGBTQA + medicine. He is board certified in internal medicine as well as in obesity medicine. Dr Salama was part of the teaching staff at Fenway Health since 2018, supervising residents and medical students from BIDMC.
Prior to starting his residency in 2015 at St Vincent Hospital, he was part of the medical team in the International Organization for Migration, part of the United Nation Organization, where he was providing direct medical services to in-crisis refugees, vulnerable migrants, and victims of human trafficking. Ahmed has a degree in Healthcare Management from the American University in Cairo and experience in quality assurance with specialization in creation of clinical pathways and hospital protocols. His experience and training enhanced his ability to relate and provide better care to minority groups and international patients. Ahmed aims to contribute to the health and well-being of diverse patient populations as well as providing medical education to trainees.
