Dr. Melissa Woythaler joined the Department of Pediatrics at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in 2021, where she now serves as the Director of the Center for Child Development. Dr. Woythaler’s clinical interests include developmental and nutritional outcomes in infants and toddlers. She is also passionate about improving the patient experience and utilizing innovative technology to improve clinical care.
Dr. Woythaler completed her undergraduate studies at Union College and went on to study medicine at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. She undertook her pediatric residency at Baystate Medical Center and completed her fellowship training in the Harvard Neonatal Perinatal Fellowship Program at Boston Children’s Hospital. Upon graduation, she joined the faculty at Massachusetts General Hospital where she was an attending Neonatologist for 11 years. During her time at MGH, she also served as Director of the Newborn Follow-up Program, as well as the Director of the Infant Feeding and Nutrition Program. In 2020, she was recruited as Associate Director of the NICU at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, MA.
