Kathryn Britton, MD, MPH, is associate chief medical officer and Vice President for Medical Affairs and a cardiologist in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine. 

In her administrative role, Britton is charged with leading hospital wide initiatives that redesign the delivery of care to improve patient outcomes, clinician satisfaction and operational effectiveness.  Areas of focus include inpatient hospital operations, professionalism, care continuum and physician assistant services.  

She began her career at BWH as a resident in Internal Medicine in 2002.  She then completed fellowships in Cardiovascular and Vascular Medicine and earned a Masters in Public Health from Harvard School of Public Health. She remains clinically active, and continues to teach and mentor residents and students.
