Dr. Nicholas J. Swerdlow is a Vascular Surgeon at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
Dr. Swerdlow graduated from Bates College with a Bachelor of Science in biological chemistry and received his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He completed general surgery residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, where he also completed two years of vascular surgery research. He then continued his training at Beth Israel Deaconess, where he completed his vascular surgery fellowship.
Dr. Swerdlow has over 40 peer-reviewed publications in journals such as Circulation, the Journal of Vascular Surgery, and Annals of Surgery. His research interests include complex endovascular aortic surgery, advanced imaging in vascular surgery, and the implementation of new technology and devices.
Dr. Swerdlow’s clinical practice includes the treatment of aortic aneurysms, specifically fenestrated/branched endovascular repair, peripheral arterial disease and limb preservation, and treatment of carotid artery stenosis.
