Catherine Franklin is a nurse practitioner in the Division of Infectious Disease at Brigham and Women's Hospital. She received her nursing doctorate from the MGH Institute of Health Professions and her Nurse Practitioner Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies at Simmons College.

She is credentialed by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and her areas of interest include HIV primary care, patient education, wellness and prevention, and travel medicine.

Dr. Franklin is the NP Team Manager in Infectious Disease with oversight for nursing care delivered in the Infectious Disease Clinic and Nursing Director for the BWH Outpatient Antibiotic Program (OPAT).

She has worked in community health centers managing the care of immigrant populations, served as a medical care volunteer in Central America and on the US-Mexican border, and served as Assistant Professor and Assistant Dean in local schools of nursing in undergraduate and graduate nursing programs.
