Leah Demetri, MD is an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in the care of patients with injuries or other conditions of the hand and/or upper extremities. After earning her undergraduate degree at Stanford University and her medical degree from Harvard Medical School, she completed her residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of California at San Francisco (UCSF), where she also served as chief resident. She went on to complete a fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery in the combined Harvard program at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Boston Children's Hospital, and Massachusetts General Hospital.
Dr. Demetri’s clinical interests include complex upper extremity trauma and fractures, elbow injuries, sports-related injuries, arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, tendon lacerations and ligament injuries. She strives to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to restore function and relieve pain.
A New England native, Dr. Demetri grew up in Brookline, MA. Outside of work, she enjoys running, hiking, skiing, and spending time with her family.
