Quoc-Dien Trinh, MD is an Associate Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School, Section Chief of Urology at Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital and Co-Director of the Dana-Farber Brigham Cancer Center’s Prostate Cancer Program. He is the Lead Faculty for ‘Cancer and Comparative Effectiveness' at the Center for Surgery and Public Health, a joint program of Harvard Medical School and the Harvard School of Public Health.
Dr. Trinh’s research focuses primarily on inequity and outcomes of cancer care. His publications include over 400 peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and videos. His research is funded by the Vattikuti Urology Institute, the Prostate Cancer Foundation, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine, and the National Institutes of Health.
He currently serves as the Associate Editor for health services research at the British Journal of Urology (BJU) International and Assistant Online Content Editor for the Journal of Urology. Dr. Trinh received his medical degree from the Université de Montréal in Montreal, Canada, where he also completed his residency training in Urology.
He completed his fellowship in minimally invasive urologic oncology at the Vattikuti Urology Institute in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Trinh is fluent in French and Vietnamese.
